More Fall Fun

We celebrated my Dad's birthday on October 14th with dinner out followed by cake and ice cream at our house.  (I'm not sure what happened to Jacob's shirt.....)
Jacob dressed up just like Daddy :)

Anna being silly :)
Anna received this birthday crown at school.  She was so cute wearing it when I picked her up and was very excited to model it at home!

I took the kids to the zoo in early November.  It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time!  They were excited to get in the "meerkat tunnel".
Jacob was more interested in the binoculars than the actual zebra and ostrich.
Jacob was most excited about seeing the tigers this trip.

The kids always love the zoo playground!

The kids love to paint.  Here Jacob was using his handprint to make turkeys.

A Happy Halloween!

After celebrating Anna's birthday in the morning, we switched gears to Halloween fun in the afternoon. Jimmy came home early to carve the pumpkins.  Neither kid could be convinced to touch the insides of the pumpkin but they had a fun time watching Daddy.

The kids chose their jack-o-lantern faces from their "Five Little Pumpkins" book.  Jacob picked a "scary" face and Anna chose a "happy" face.
Jacob was so excited to go trick-or-treating!

Anna walked the entire cul-de-sac (which is quite a hill) but opted for the stroller for one last house.

We only trick-or-treated at seven homes but the kids came home with some serious loot!
Jacob enjoying his first taste of Nerds.  Gramps is not a fan (nor am I)!
Anna enjoying a pumpkin Reese's cup
Wow!  Between Anna's birthday and Halloween, October 31st has proven to be a busy, exciting, fun, sugar-filled day!  We are already looking forward to next year's fun!

Anna's 2nd Birthday - Friend Party

I had a Birthday "Playdate" on Anna's big day so she could celebrate with a few of her friends.  The kids had a great time playing with balloons, running around the playroom, decorating bags with foam stickers, and eating fun birthday food.  My mom made an awesome banner and cupcake toppers to go along with the Abby Caddaby theme.

Anna had Holly, her birthday doll, sitting beside her for lunch.

Anna was a little overwhelmed when we were singing "Happy Birthday" so she held onto my arm.
