Amelia Island 2010
My parents rented another fabulous house on the beach at Amelia Island for a week. We had such a wonderful time and it was so fun to experience the beach through Jacob's eyes! I was amazed at how much fun he had with the water, sand, exploring a different house, and having so much attention from family. Get ready to scroll as I've posted several pictures from our fantastic beach week!
Jacob putting his toes in the sand for the first time since last year when he was 5 months old.
Jacob putting his feet in the ocean for the first time. He absolutely LOVED the water the first day and was enamored with the waves. Jimmy took him into the water and held him as the waves crashed on them and he just giggled and squealed with delight. After a few days he wasn't as interested in the water and decided he'd rather play in the sand.
Jacob loved playing in the sand with his sand toys that Gramps got him for Christmas that fold flat for packing (really neat and they really work!)
The rental house had two butterfly catchers that Jacob ADORED pushing around the house and outside. It was so funny how much he loved these things!

Our family loves"Sliders" restaurant because of the delicous seafood and incredible atmosphere. However, this year we loved it even more because of the onsite playground. Jacob discovered a love for their slides.

The house had a fenced-in grassy backyard which we all loved. We spent a lot of time playing in the grass with the hose and baby pool but still got to enjoy a beautiful view of the beach. We concluded that Jacob's favorite activity of all was playing with the hose. Here Jacob is after being soaked by Daddy!

Nanny and Great Aunt Pam spent a few days with us as well but somehow I managed to not get a single good picture to document their trip. I'm very disappointed but so happy we were able to spend time with them as well at the beach!
