Playground Fun

Jimmy and Jacob have enjoyed lots of quality time together since I went on bed rest 4 weeks ago. They've been having a great together and their favorite activity is playing on the playground. Jacob especially loves the slides and has become much more adventurous in the past few weeks. Here are some pictures of Jacob in action!

Jacob's First Day of PDO!

Jacob started Parent's Day Out on Wednesday. He is attending the Franklin First United Methodist Church program which is where we go to church. We were hopeful that the familiarity of his surroundings and already knowing one of his teachers would help make this an easy transition and so far, so good! Jacob had a great first day and didn't shed a tear when Jimmy left him! (I, of course, did shed a tear since I'm on bed rest and disappointed that I couldn't take him on his first day.) Jacob completed his first art project, a magnetic clip with his hand print, to hold his future artwork on the refrigerator. Here are a few pictures of Jacob gathering his lunch box and backpack to take to school!

August Visitors

We love seeing out of town family and friends and were fortunate to have some very fun visitors in August!

Nanny, my aunts - Pam, Pat, and Alice, and uncles - Bob and Tony all came to visit from Georgia. We had a wonderful time catching up with everyone and Jacob loved all the extra attention! He warmed up to everyone pretty well and even gave out kisses to Nanny and Pam!

Nanny's "ladybug" pants were quite the hit with Jacob Jacob showing Nanny one of his favorite books

My longtime friend, David, his wife, Hannah, and son, Idan, came in town from Seattle. It was so great to see them, meet Idan, and watch the boys "parallel play" together!
