Halloween!

Jacob was so excited to wear his Spider-Man costume to preschool!  This was a treat for the Pre-K kids so Anna was a little bummed she didn't get to wear her princess dress.  However, once we determined Anna would wear her bat t-shirt to school and we called her "Bat Girl", she was happy.

I carved my first pumpkin with the kids.
Spider-Man and Rapunzel all ready to go!

The kids love making silly faces :)
Off to our neighbor's house for pizza
The neighborhood kids all ready for trick-or-treating!

Our first stop on the cul-de-sac with Katherine and Eric

 Last stop - our house!
Anna was done but Jacob still had some Spider-Man strength left!

What a Happy Halloween!!

Anna's Birthday - Family Edition

I went to Anna's classroom to celebrate her birthday with her preschool friends.  Her teachers gave her this cute crown and she enjoyed sharing mini strawberry cupcakes with her friends.  This is Anna with, Blake, her "best friend" at school.  They are such sweet friends!
Halloween night was yucky so trick-or-treating was moved to November 1st instead.  As such, we swapped Anna's family party to her actual birthday night.  Anna was very excited to wear her Minnie Mouse costume for her family party.  We enjoyed chili (a tradition for us since it was the meal that sparked her arrival 3 years ago) and chocolate-chocolate chip cake.
After dinner we decided to have Anna open a few presents before cake time.  Jacob was so excited about choosing  gift for Anna and couldn't wait for her to open it!  Jacob gave her a hair stylist set (blow dryer, straight iron, curling iron, brush, curlers, lipstick, and a carrying bag) and headbands.  She LOVES it and we play "beauty salon" a lot at our home!

Oh the excitement when Uncle David arrives!!
Minnie Mouse cake time!

After cake it was time for more presents!  Uncle David bought Anna pink sparkle boots!  It's amazing how excited our three year old is about new shoes!

Nana and Gramps gave Anna a Disney princess castle which she LOVES and has played with everyday since receiving it!
What is a Minnie Mouse party without a gigantic size Mickey and Minnie Mouse?!

We gave Anna light-up Minnie Mouse play shoes (which she calls "tapping shoes").  We went into the dark playroom and she performed a show for all of us.  Her shoes were like strobe lights and she had a fabulous time dancing around!

After we said our goodbyes to Nana, Gramps, and Uncle David we realized we had a bird in our kitchen!  We quickly ran outside to rally the troops back inside.  Jimmy's first idea was a butterfly net.  David quickly informed him that we needed a sheet instead.   :)  The guys were able to coax the bird out of the house fairly quickly and to my surprise we didn't have any bird poop inside!  It was a humorous way to end a wonderful evening of celebrating our beautiful, precious Anna!

Anna's Birthday - Gymnastics Party

Our sweet Anna turned THREE on October 31st! She is so excited to be 3 because she knows that 3 means she is a big girl!  :)  Anna is so precious to us! She continues to be such a sweet spirit who loves cuddles and hugs and takes excellent care of her babies.  Anna is constantly dancing, singing or talking on an imaginary phone.  She loves playing dress-up with her princess dresses and play shoes and also really enjoys wearing her "church" dresses on Sundays and her tutus.   She is definitely a girly girl and we love it! Anna and I started a "Mommy & Me" gymnastics class in September and she absolutely loves it so her birthday party was easy to decide.  Anna knows what she wants so when asked, she said she wanted a Minnie Mouse party at gymnastics.  Done!

I made the invitation on my new super fun machine!
My mom and I made her birthday outfit.  Anna loved it and was so excited to model it before going to her party!
Chatting with Gramps before her party began
Anna does not like the foam pit.  I'm really not sure why but at her gymnastics class she won't get in there and instead chooses to continue the first obstacle course until "pit time" is over.  The other kids (including Daddy!) had a great time.
Warm up stretches- how cute are they?!

Anna loves to climb the "mountains"!

Jacob realized the gymnastics stuff was hard work!
Anna LOVES the trampoline and tumble track!!
Jacob also loved to jump!

Ryan tried to convince Allison the tumble track was fun but she wasn't convinced.  :)

The bars were quite the hit!

Sweet friends!
The last activity was the parachute.  They wrapped her up like a present and spun her around.
Anna was given a medal and shirt at the conclusion of the "gym time".  She was so excited to get a medal!

After all the flipping, it was time for strawberry cupcakes and vanilla ice cream!

Avery had the great idea of sticking her pretzels in the cupcake.  Both decorative and tasty.  :)

After the party we headed over to Nana and Gramps' house.  Anna still had some energy left to play her favorite "climb on the couch behind Gramps and get him to tickle her and pull her down" game!
We had the most wonderful day celebrating our sweet baby girl!!!  Happy Birthday, Anna!
