Sledding and a Snowman

We were blessed with a beautiful snow!  Our family was very excited about sledding on our neighborhood hills.  Our icy driveway was first on the agenda and proved to be quite fast and fun!
Jacob's attempt at a snow angel
The next sledding spot was the hill on the side of our house which was too slow.

Lastly Jimmy decided we should sled down our cul-de-sac.  This was quite the ride!  Our adventurous Anna loved it!!

The walk up the hill was quite the workout but definitely worth the thrill of sledding down!
Of course a snow day is not complete without a few snowballs!

Jacob and I weren't moving too fast so my sweet boy decided to get out and push me down the hill!
We were able to build a snowman!  Jacob was very excited and proud!

Our First "Snow"

Our first snow of the season was barely existent but living in Middle Tennesse you take advantage of any resemblance of white snow on the ground.  The kids were psyched to get all bundled up to experience all that a Tennessee snow can offer (not much).
Sweet, sweet Jacob with his big carrot all ready to build a snowman in the yard.  He tried and he tried but it just wasn't happening.
It took less than five minutes for Anna to discover she didn't like how cold the snow was.
Jacob moved on to the deck to build his snowman.
Jacob with his "snowman" (or hill of snow with sticks).  I give him huge props for trying and keeping a great attitude - such a sweet boy!

Decorated Faces, Donuts, and The Dentist

The kids were excited to celebrate the birthday of their sweet friend, Evie.  Evie had a "Belle" themed party complete with actual "Belle" whose many talents included face painting.  Anna was a little nervous at first but quite excited to be transformed into a sweet kitty!  Jacob was not interested in the least at having paint on his face but enjoyed the many other aspects of the party, especially the treats.

The kids loved having Daddy at their preschool for Donuts with Dad (although they don't look especially thrilled in this picture). :)
The adorable gifts they gave their Daddy!

Jacob had his first trip to the dentist in January.  He was a little nervous at first but did fabulous and got a great report!

Anna showing off her pearly whites.  She was excited the dentist gave her a toothbrush as well.
The kids often ask me to get the camera and take their picture.  They love hopping around and making silly faces and seeing themselves on the screen.  Here are my favorite "randoms" of the month.

Visit with Nanny

Nanny, Aunt Pam, Uncle Bob and Aunt Pat came to visit in January.  As always we had a great time visiting with them and the kids enjoyed some great snuggle time with Nanny!

Jacob's 4th Birthday - Preschool Edition

Jacob enjoyed one final birthday celebration at school.  I made these oreo cookie treats and enjoyed snack time with my special boy and his sweet preschool friends and teachers!

His school gave him a birthday crown to wear.  He wasn't interested in wearing it at school but was all about it once we got in the car!

What a great, fun-filled birthday!

Jacob's 4th Birthday - Friend Edition

I had a playdate with a few of Jacob's friends to celebrate his birthday.  He was very excited and had a fabulous time!  He placed Mickey Mouse at the door to greet everyone.  :)
Before his friends arrived Jacob and Anna decided to "warm up" the bouncy house.

Jacob took Evie's hand and led her upstairs when she arrived.  So cute!
As expected, the boucy house was a hit with the kiddos.
The kids enjoyed cheese pizza, strawberries, and pretzel sticks for lunch.  We had decorated water bottles with Mickey Mouse stickers and the kids names.  Jacob and Anna were so excited about drinking out of their personalized and decorated water bottles!

Next it was time for cupcakes and ice cream!  I love that Jacob sang "Happy Birthday" along with us.

Once the sugar set in the kids decided it was time for more fort building and play!

Jacob had a wonderful time celebrating with his friends!
