Playtime Fun
We have a new favorite game at the Porter house I've named "One, Two, Three". Jacob stands near the front door, holds up a finger to indicate "One", I count "One, Two, Three" and Jacob runs full speed to me or Daddy sitting on the living room floor. He laughs the entire way, jumps into our arms, and gets lots of kisses and hugs. So fun!

We met Jennifer and Evie at Peek-a-boo Playtown yesterday and we all had a lot of fun. It was Jacob's first time to play in a ball pit and he loved it! Evie obviously did too!

Jacob is 18 Months Old!
I have a difficult time believing our precious Jacob is 18 months old. How quickly the time goes when you are chasing around an adorable toddler! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this age even though Jacob can definitely wear me out. Jacob is very busy, very curious, and very fun to be around. I continue to feel so blessed that I am his mommy and that I get to be a part of all of his precious moments.
Jacob had another great doctor's report! He is now 33 inches tall (50-75%) and weighs 24 lbs, 10 oz (25-50%).
Jacob loves his books! The first thing on his agenda each morning is to sit down by his bookshelf and look at his books. It is so cute and I really enjoy the quiet time for me to fully wake up. His favorite books are "Big Trucks", "Farm" flap book, "Winnie the Pooh Opposites", "Lullaby, Lullaby Little One", and "No Matter What" (elephant book).
Jacob loves to run, be chased (especially by Daddy), play outside, and climb on anything and everything. His favorite toys are his golf clubs, balls, push toys, toy rake, and my broom. He also loves phones but is no longer allowed to play with them after he called 911 (nice, huh?). We took a Mommy and Me swim class last week and Jacob did fabulous. He loves going under water and holds his breath like a champ.
Jacob is still a pretty good eater but he definitely has his picky toddler moments. He is currently on strike from blueberries, carrots, and green beans. His favorite food is watermelon and he looks so darn cute eating it!
I find it extremely difficult to get good pictures of Jacob these days as he is so active. If he is looking at me while I have the camera, it is normally because he is running towards me at lightning speed trying to apprehend the camera from me! I get a lot of blurry shots but I guess that is to be expected at this age! Here are a few pictures of Jacob at 18 months.

GrandDad Porter Visits!
Jimmy's dad came to visit us over the Fourth of July weekend. We had fun swimming, playing at the park, eating breakfast at Henpeck Market, visiting the Franklin Farmers Market, going to church, and just hanging around the house eating and playing! Here are a few pictures from his visit. Thanks for coming to see us, GrandDad!
