The Beach!

We traveled to Amelia Island for our 5th annual beach trip.  Unfortunately Tropical Storm Beryl decided Amelia Island was also a great place to visit for the first few days of our vacation.   Thankfully we only had one day that was completely rained out and we had a fabulous week at the beach!

Here is Jacob opening up our travel sand toys on the deck.  Gramps bought these for Jacob three years ago and they've been a big hit.

Anna fell face first into the sand and was covered.  She's a good sport though and didn't cry.

It's amazing how much fun a tennis ball can be!
We were very excited that Uncle Rick and Sable came to visit for a day. Here are
Anna, Jacob and Sable on the deck ready for the beach!
After lots of fun at the beach Jacob and Sable enjoyed playing in the outdoor shower.
Anna had a great time playing with a water bottle and a big bucket of water.
We ate at our favorite restaurant, Slider's, four times during the week!  The kids had a blast playing on the playset and Jacob loved playing with the Scooby Doo "Mystery Machine".
Jimmy and I took the kids down to the marina one morning.  Jacob loved seeing the boats and talked about how he is going to buy one.
Anna thought this shrimp was pretty silly.
After lots of fun at the beach the kids loved wrapping up in towels and getting some good cuddling time.
Jacob flew a kite for the first time with Daddy
At low tide the beach had fabulous "pools" of water.  The kids had a blast playing with their sand toys and Jacob loved the boogie board!

Jacob tried "surfing" on the boogie board but quickly discovered taking a ride was the most fun!
Cheetos Time!
Thanks again to my parents for such a wonderful week at the beach!  We're already counting down the days to next year!

End of School and Trip to Georgia

Our sweet boy finished out a wonderful year of Parent's Day Out.  The school had a Mother's Day Tea and Jacob was so excited to have me at school and give me the presents he had made (a marigold in a decorated pot, poster with his handprints, and a card with his picture).
Jacob proudly chose his firetruck shirt to wear on his last day of school.
The following weekend we headed to Georgia to attend my cousin, Christian's, wedding. It was a gorgeous weekend and we had a wonderful time visiting with family and celebrating Christian and Mindy's big day!   My Uncle Bob and Aunt Pat invited us to stay the weekend in their RV. Jacob thought it was super cool to stay in the "big bus"! The kids slept in the same room for the first time.  They were so cute giggling and talking to each other until Jacob started telling Anna she needed to be quiet because he was tired -ha! Here is Jimmy and the kids after the rehearsal dinner in front of the "big bus".
