Girls Trip to Chattanooga

Last Tuesday I met my dear friends, Keely and Anne Marie, in Chattanooga for an overnight trip. Keely lives in Houston (but is originally from Knoxville and was in town visiting) and Anne Marie lives in Atlanta so we decided Chattanooga was an easy place to meet. It was SO WONDERFUL to spend time with them! We talked and ate and ate and talked and then we talked some more! Needless to say, it was a fabulous time with two of my favorite girls!

Anna came along and thankfully, was happy at the restaurants and slept great. Anna was quite fond of both Anne Marie and Keely. I was amazed at how happy she was with them holding her. She obviously could sense why her mommy loves them so!

Anna is Nine Months Old!

Our precious Anna is nine months old! Anna is such a happy baby and brings so much joy to our lives! We love, love, love our beautiful baby girl!Anna had a great nine month check-up today. She continues to grow steadily and is now 26 inches long and weighs almost 16 lbs. She continues to be petite as she's in the 10th percentile for both height and weight.

Anna loves being outside, riding around in strollers and shopping carts, and being held. She also loves to play and is very happy sitting on the floor playing with toys. Anna's favorite toys are the cash register, blocks, and the steering wheel. She also loves her D.W. doll which has yarn hair and Sophie the Giraffe. Anna isn't crawling yet but loves to stand and will stretch and turn as much as she can without having to actually get on her stomach. The pediatrician reassured me that after "wrestling" with Anna during her exam he had no concerns about her strength! Anna is a great sleeper. She sleeps 12 hours at night, takes a 1.5 hour morning nap and a 2-2.5 hour afternoon nap. Anna peacefully goes to sleep after reading her books and rarely fusses. She wakes up cheerful and is happy to hang out in her crib for a little while. Anna loves books, especially peekaboo ones. Her favorite books are "Where's Spot?", "Look, Look!", "Peekaboo Babies", and "If You Are Happy and You Know It".

Anna is eating three meals a day now and likes everything I've given her with the exception of green beans. She's given me a look of absolute disgust everytime I've tried giving them to her. Anna really enjoys feeding herself and especially loves eating puffs, bread, sweet potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. Anna loves the bath (which is a great thing since she is quite the messy eater)! Anna loves splashing around and doesn't mind water being dumped on her head. I've started bathing Jacob and Anna together and they both think it is so fun to be together!

Anna is still a big Mommy's girl but she's loves her Daddy too! She lights up when he talks to her and loves sitting in his lap outside. Here are a few sweet pictures of Daddy and Anna.

In addition to Mommy and Daddy, Anna now loves Nana! However, the three of us are the only people she is happy with for now. :)

We love our sweet Anna and feel so blessed to have her as our daughter to raise! We look forward to all the fun moments ahead!
