Anna is 18 months old!

Anna was 18 months on May 1st so I guess she is really 19 months now but I'm still going to call this her 18 month post.  :)  Anna had a wonderful pediatrician appointment and currently weighs 24 lbs (50%) and is 32 inches (50-75%).
Anna continues to be so much fun!  She is so full of life and her personality is really starting to shine.  She loves to play peek-a-boo, make silly noises on our bellies and faces, and do seat drops on Jacob's bed (which, of course, is not allowed).   Anna LOVES playing with her baby dolls and her favorite toy is her baby that was her first birthday gift.  She cuddles with "baby" for bedtime, brings her to the table for meals, has me "change her diaper", and just loves having her around.  At church and play dates Anna always heads straight to the baby dolls and claims at least one as "hers". Anna also loves balls, the Busy Ball Popper, and playing outside.
Anna thinks Jacob is the greatest thing ever and the two of them play well together.  She likes following Jacob on the riding cars but gets scared if he starts chasing her.  She loves trying to keep up with him and do everything he does.

Anna is saying many words these days and our favorite word she says is "yep".  She nods when she says it and always says it so definitively.  She is so cute!
Anna loves reading stories before bedtime and has a wide range of books she enjoys.  Her favorites are "Mirror Me", "Peekaboo Morning", "Where's Spot?", "Winnie the Pooh Opposites", and books with photographs of animals.

We love, love, love our sweet baby girl!!!

Easter!

I'm obviously way behind on posting pictures from Easter.  We had a wonderful weekend with our family! Saturday we had our neighborhood Easter egg hunt and the kids had a fabulous time.  It was so fun to see Anna discover the joy of finding chocolate inside Easter eggs and Jacob running full force to gather as many eggs as possible.

Saturday evening we enjoyed a low country boil outside.
The Easter bunny stopped at our house Sunday morning.  Jacob especially loved his markers and yo-yo.
Anna's favorite gift was her pink and white bouncy ball. In this picture she is "reading" her new "bible".

I couldn't resist including this family shot that was taken right after Jacob had kicked Uncle David.  :)
Look who we found under the dining room table eating candy before dinner!
After dinner the kids finally got to enjoy strawberry cupcakes.  They had both been begging to have them since we made them.  It was worth the wait!
