More Summer Fun

Here are a few more things we've enjoyed this June...
Playing with friends!
Making homemade guitars and tall towers and running around the towers, playing the guitars!

 Walking around in Mommy's shoes!
Seeing a puppet show for the first time at the Nashville library!
Going to "Touch a Truck" in Franklin and sitting on a tractor!

Sitting in a storm water drainage truck (definitely not the usual truck)!
 Being silly!
 Making cards for Gramps!

Here's to another super fun month!

Goats!

We visited Noble Springs Dairy in Leiper's Fork with the Clarks. We had such a fun time and it was such a great experience for the kids.  We'll definitely make this an annual visit!

We learned that hens lay eggs the color of their legs and this farm had both brown and blue eggs.  So neat!  Jacob and Anna had their picture with a brown egg. Anna thought it was super fun to chase the hens!

Jacob loved feeding the goat kids.  They were so cute!
 They pet the adorable chicks!

 Sweet friends!
(I think a couple of the goats are trying to escape and join our picture!)
Needless to say, we had a great time and the farm wore the kids out!

The Beach!!

At the end of May we journeyed to Amelia Island for our annual beach trip.  We had a BLAST!!  The kids were so much fun this year! Jacob absolutely loved the ocean and was "go, go, go" the entire trip jumping in the waves, playing in the sand, and running on the beach! Anna's favorite beach activity was sitting with Nana at the edge of the water and having the waves come up and splash them.

The kids played miniature golf for the first time.  They loved it!

Every year we seem to have this picture of the kids and Gramps having a treat.  This year we captured the fun of ice cream.
Uncle Rick and Sable drove down from Savannah on Tuesday to spend the day with us.  The kids loved having their cousin Sable to play with on the beach!

One of our favorite things about Amelia Island is how we have the beach to ourselves. The kids enjoyed a fun run back to the beach house after dinner at Sliders.

We went to pick Jimmy up at the golf course and the kids were very excited to sit in the golf cart!
Wednesday evening we took a few family pictures on the beach.

The kids are in the "funny face" stage so we had a "funny face" shot.  My cool brother did not want to participate.

Jacob seriously LOVES taking pictures with Gramps' phone.
Our gorgeous view from the deck.
We went to Don Pablo's for dinner and it was absolutely fantastic.  We've had a lot of yummy meals on the island but my dad proclaimed this was the best.

Jacob practicing his "high" and "low" "fives".
In addition to the beach the kids always have a great time with the hose on the lower deck.

After the kids got Daddy wet, he took the hose and hid.  Here the kids are coming around the corner looking for him.
Run!!
As much as we love seafood, by the end of the week we decided it was time for some cheese dip!

Jacob loves picking up "free publications" when walking around town.

Our last night we headed to Timoti's where the kids enjoyed playing on the "pirate ship".
What a wonderful trip!  We're already counting the days until next year!
